Team BRIT in the running for national award

Team BRIT is a nominee for a Global Business Excellence Award.

The team has been put forward in the category of Best Innovation, relating to their world-leading hand control technology.

The global awards, which are held every year, aim to recognise and reward business excellence across all sectors, private, public and charity. Entries are encouraged from organisations that are working smarter than their competitors to create a business edge.

The team’s hand controls are set to revolutionise the motorsport industry, enabling disabled drivers to compete on a level playing field with able-bodied drivers.

All of the controls are based on the steering wheel, including an electronic braking system, allowing drivers who are amputees or who have leg injuries, to keep both hands on the steering wheel, controlling everything by hand.

The team will find out in the next few weeks if their nomination has been successful.
