Leeds creative agency gets behind Team BRIT

Award winning creative agency, FDP, is the latest business to get behind Team BRIT.

FDP, which is based in Leeds, will be providing printing services for the team in 2019, supporting them with a range of printed supplies such as marketing and promotional materials. The FDP logo will be proudly displayed on the team’s two BMWs, which its rookies will race in the BMW 116 Trophy this year.

FDP provides a range of branding and communications services including strategy, design, branding, digital and print, from its offices in Leeds.

Team BRIT hopes to become the first ever all-disabled team to race in the Le Mans 24 hour race.  Many of its drivers are injured military troops and it has developed the world’s most advanced hand control technology to allow its drivers to race on a level playing field.

Having heard about the team and its goal, FDP made contact with Team Founder Dave Player, keen to find out how they could help support the team’s journey towards Le Mans.

On Wednesday 23rd January, Team BRIT driver Warren McKinlay and the team’s commercial director, Mike Scudamore, visited the FDP office to introduce themselves and share more of the team’s story and vision. They also gave an update on the team’s newly launched Racing Academy, which will offer disabled drivers the chance to receive professional race coaching and tuition.

Sales Executive Cameron Phillips said, “Whilst continuing our support with the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund and other local charities throughout 2019, we approached Team BRIT to see how we could support their inspirational journey.

“Meeting Warren was fantastic and to hear just how passionate and determined both he and Mike are in delivering Team BRIT's goal to 'inspire people with disabilities, PTSD and mental health issues, by demonstrating what can be achieved through motorsport' was amazing... Team BRIT really is a perfect fit for FDP and we're very proud to play a small part in the upcoming season!”

Team BRIT founder and CEO Dave Player said, “Supporters like FDP make such an impact on our team.

“By providing us with print services, we can professionally promote our work to our fans, our supporters and potential sponsors.  All of this helps keep us on the race track, moving towards Le Mans and showing the world what we can achieve.

“We’re extremely grateful to FDP for their support and look forward to working with them throughout this milestone year as we launch our Racing Academy and enter two new Championships.”
